MAHMA NONOate (0.1 nM-100 μM) dose-dependently inhibits platelet aggregation induced by either collagen or ADP[1]. MAHMA NONOate shows inhibitory effects to pulmonary artery and platelet aggregation with log IC50 values of 7.18 and 6.16, respectively[1].
In Vivo
MAHMA NONOate (0.3-10 nmol/kg/min; i.v. once) shows both platelet inhibitory and vasodepressor effects in vivo[2]. Animal Model: Male Wistar rats anaesthetised with pentobarbitone[2] Dosage: 0.3-10 nmol/kg/min Administration: Intravenous injection; 0.3-10 nmol/kg/min once Result: Dose-dependently decreased in mean systemic artery pressure and showd a more potent effect than GSNO. Caused dose-dependent inhibition of the response to 0.3 μM/kg ADP.
Salmonella enterica biofilm-mediated dispersal by nitric oxide donors in association with cellulose nanocrystal hydrogels.
AMB Express 5 , 28, (2015)
Protected by extracellular polymers, microbes within biofilms are significantly more resistant to disinfectants. Current research has been instrumental in identifying nitric oxide donors and hydrogels...

PLoS ONE 10 , e0123986, (2015)
Nitric oxide (NO) is a membrane-permeable signaling molecule that is constantly produced, transferred, and consumed in vivo. NO participates and plays important roles in multiple biological processes....
Effect of nitric oxide on VnfA, a transcriptional activator of VFe-nitrogenase in Azotobacter vinelandii.
J. Biochem. 157 , 365-75, (2015)
The transcriptional activator, VnfA, is necessary for the expression of the structural genes encoding vanadium-dependent nitrogenase in Azotobacter vinelandii. We have previously reported that VnfA ha...
