| In Vivo | Trithiozine (T) (i. p., oral, i. v.; 50 mg/kg, 200 mg/kg) shows a considerable antisecretory and antiulcer activity on different experimental models in the rats and dogs[1]. Animal Model: female Sprague-Dawley rats and male beagle dogs[1] Dosage: 50 mg/kg (rats); 200 mg/kg or 50 mg/kg (dogs) Administration: i. p., single (rats); oral, single or i. v. (dogs) Result: Showed an apparent plasma half-life of about 2.5 h in rats and 1 h in dogs and rapidly metabolized yielding two metabolites and two conjugates. |
