Penicillin amidase BiologicalActivity
| Description | Penicillin amidase (Penicillin acylase) is an enzyme that cleaves the acyl side chains of penicillins. Penicillin amidase can be used for the production of 6-aminopenicillanic acid. Penicillin amidase can also be used in the resolution of racemic mixtures, peptide synthesis, and synthesis of semi-synthetic β-lactam antibiotics[1][2][3]. |
