The solution turned reddish brown and reacted with ice bath for 1 h. A concentrated hydrochloric acid solution of 1 mol/L stannous chloride of 30 mL was added directly dropwise in the original reaction vessel and stirred with ice bath for 3 h. A large amount of solid was precipitated, filtered, washed with water and dried naturally without further purification, yielding 1.72 g of 4-isopropylphenylhydrazine hydrochloride in the form of a light brown powder with a yield of . 92.2%. |
