Descriptioncis-13,16,19-Docosatrienoic acid methyl ester is an ester form of docosatrienoic acid, a rare omega-3 fatty acid not found in the normal phospholipid polyunsaturated fatty acid pool Easily detectable, it inhibits the binding of [3H]-LTB4 to porcine neutrophils at a concentration of 5 μM. Methyl docosatrienoate is more fat-soluble than the free acid and may be more desirable than the free acid in some formulations.
