33332-28-4

General procedure for the synthesis of 2-amino-6-chloropyrazine from 2,6-dichloropyrazine: 2,6-dichloropyrazine (10.0 g, 67.1 mmol) and ammonia (100 mL) were sequentially added to a hydrothermal reactor and reacted at 100 °C for 5 hours. After completion of the reaction, the reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature and the solid product was collected by filtration. The filter cake was pulped with hexane (16 mL) to give a final white solid of 8.2 g of 2-amino-6-chloropyrazine in 95.0% yield.
