DescriptionDroxicam is an orally-active prodrug of piroxicam useful in the treatment ofspinal osteoarthritis. Although it has a pharmacological profile comparable topiroxicam, droxicam's experimental ulcerogenic effect is ten times less. In animalstudies droxicam is also reported to have analgesic and antipyretic activities, with nocardiovascular or respiratory effects.
