| Occurrence | A constituent of the seeds of Alangium lamarckii Thw., alamarine yields colourless needles from EtOH and is optically inactive. It gives an ultraviolet spectrum in EtOH having absorption maxima at 220,253, and 363 nm. When treated with H202 in MeOH, it furnishes alangimarine (q. v.). |
