4-Fluorobenzyl chloride Usage And Synthesis
| Chemical Properties | clear colorless to slightly yellow liquid |
| Uses | p-Fluorobenzyl Chloride is a chemical intermediate in the synthesis of various pharmaceutical and agricultural goods. |
| Synthesis | Photocatalyst: nanosilver/silver chloride surface plasma composite; Substrate: p-fluorotoluene; Halogenator: potassium chloride; (1) 50 ml of water, 7 g of sodium chloride and 2.5 ml of hydrochloric acid (mass fraction 35%) were added in a photocatalytic reactor, respectively, and dissolved with stirring; (2) then add 0.3 g of nanosilver/silver chloride as a photocatalyst (nanosilver loading 8.5 mol%) and 0.05 g of tetrabutylammonium chloride as a phase-transfer catalyst, and finally add 15 ml of p-fluorotoluene; the loading is the molar amount of nanoprecious metals as a molar percentage of the total amount of nanoprecious metal/semiconductor surface plasmonic composite. (3) Under strong magnetic stirring, then turn on 300W xenon lamp irradiation, and react for 5h at room temperature; (4) Filtering to recover the catalyst, separating out the organic phase and recycling the aqueous phase for reuse. Samples were analyzed by GS, the conversion rate of p-fluorotoluene was 36%, and no polychlorinated products were detected. Distillation to collect 180.5-182 ?? fraction, got 4-fluorobenzyl chloride, yield 89%. |
