In VivoThe mean peak concentrations of hosenkoside K in rats after oral administration of total saponins of Semen Impatientis is 511.11±234.07 ng/mL, occurring at times of 0.46 h. The terminal half-lives of hosenkoside A is 4.96±1.75 h[1].
Animal AdminMale Wistar rats (7 weeks old, 220±20 g, n=6) are fasted for 12 h. Total saponins of Semen Impatientis at a dose of 300 mg (in 10 mL)/kg are orally administered to rats using a gastric gavage tube. The doses of hosenkoside A is12.4 mg/kg for an oral dose of 300 mg/kg total saponins. Blood samples (0.20 mL) are collected from suborbital vein into heparinized tubes before administration (0 min), and 0.08, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.5, 2, 4, 6, 8, 12 and 24 h after dosing.
